| WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to | ||
| recognize Jacqueline Monique Morales on the occasion of her 2015 | ||
| graduation from The University of Texas at Brownsville | ||
| Mathematics and Science Academy; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Jacqueline is graduating as valedictorian of her | ||
| class at the Mathematics and Science Academy; the academy was | ||
| established to offer an accelerated educational program to | ||
| motivated high school juniors and seniors who have demonstrated | ||
| an interest in pursuing careers in the fields of mathematics and | ||
| science; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Over the course of her high school career, | ||
| Jacqueline has maintained a straight A average while | ||
| participating in a wide array of extracurricular activities, | ||
| including cheerleading, marching band, the Sign Language Club, | ||
| and the National Honor Society; she served as vice president of | ||
| the student council and took part in the 2013 National Youth | ||
| Leadership Forum on Law and Crime Scene Investigation; and | ||
| WHEREAS, She has also completed more than 380 hours of | ||
| community service and served as an English tutor at The | ||
| University of Texas at Brownsville; and | ||
| WHEREAS, A high achiever, Jacqueline establishes and | ||
| pursues her goals with perseverance and a clear vision of her | ||
| future; her notable accomplishments at school bear witness to her | ||
| dedication and outstanding abilities; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th | ||
| Legislature, hereby commend Jacqueline Monique Morales on the | ||
| occasion of her graduation from The University of Texas at | ||
| Brownsville Mathematics and Science Academy and extend to her | ||
| best wishes for continued success in all her endeavors; and, be | ||
| it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for | ||
| her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate. | ||
