	SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 714
	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
	recognize the members of the Jack Yates High School Class of 1961
	on the occasion of their 50th reunion; and

	WHEREAS, The Class of 1961 is holding its reunion June 16
	through 20, 2011; it is an opportunity for class members to
	reflect on the positive impact that Jack Yates High School has
	had on their lives and to reminisce about the many high school
	adventures they shared; and

	WHEREAS, The theme for the reunion is "Back to the Future:
	Where We Went, We Didn't Need Roads"; in gathering to celebrate
	the 50th anniversary of their graduation, these class members are
	expressing their longtime commitment to tradition, unity, and
	loyal friendship; and

	WHEREAS, The members of the Class of 1961 have become
	leaders and productive members of their communities, and many
	have distinguished themselves in their careers; now, therefore,
	be it

	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd
	Legislature, hereby commend the members of the Jack Yates High
	School Class of 1961 on their many achievements and extend to
	them best wishes for a memorable 50th reunion; and, be it further

	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
	them as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
