SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 705
WHEREAS, Lucas Earl Lane served the Texas Senate as an
Honorary Page on May 1, 2017; and
WHEREAS, A seventh grader at Fowler Middle School in the
Frisco Independent School District, Mr. Lane demonstrated great
skill and diligence while assisting in the daily activities of
the Senate; in so doing, he had the opportunity to learn more
about the legislative process as well as the history of the State
Capitol; and
WHEREAS, In addition to dedicating himself to his studies,
Mr. Lane is involved in a number of extracurricular activities,
including football and band; and
WHEREAS, By taking part in a legislative session, this
outstanding young Texan has gained valuable experience and
contributed to the important operations of the state Senate, and
he is indeed deserving of special recognition for his fine work;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
Legislature, hereby commend Lucas Earl Lane on his service as an
Honorary Page and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued
success in all his endeavors; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
Mr. Lane as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
