| WHEREAS, The Sneaky Cleats Select Softball Club is | ||
| celebrating the 25th anniversary of its founding in 2025; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Based in Tyler, Sneaky Cleats was established in | ||
| 2000 by Anthony and Gayla Springer as a six-and-under girls' T-ball | ||
| team; the club later made the switch to fast-pitch softball, and | ||
| today, it encompasses squads in Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Through its exemplary work as a faith-based | ||
| organization, Sneaky Cleats has provided instruction to hundreds of | ||
| young female athletes, helping participants learn the fundamentals | ||
| of the sport in a safe and competitive environment while fostering | ||
| such important values as integrity, confidence, and good | ||
| sportsmanship; dedicated to giving back to the community, the club | ||
| holds an annual picnic for players and alumni, and its service | ||
| initiatives include Thanksgiving turkey dinner giveaways, stuffed | ||
| animal donations to the Tyler Police Department, and winter jacket | ||
| donation drives for area youth; moreover, the group gives generously | ||
| to worthy causes in the community; and | ||
| WHEREAS, True to its mission, the Sneaky Cleats Select | ||
| Softball Club has made a lasting and positive difference in the | ||
| lives of countless young athletes, and it is indeed a pleasure to | ||
| honor the organization on this special milestone in its history; | ||
| now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th | ||
| Legislature, hereby commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Sneaky | ||
| Cleats Select Softball Club and extend to all those associated with | ||
| the organization sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be | ||
| it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be | ||
| prepared for Sneaky Cleats as an expression of high regard from the | ||
| Texas Senate. | ||
