| Tamara Farris Gordon | ||
| WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and | ||
| commemorates the life of Tamara Farris "Tammy" Gordon, who died | ||
| March 25, 2013, at the age of 48; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Tamara Lynn Farris was born November 15, 1964; she | ||
| attended Fort Worth Country Day School before graduating from | ||
| Arlington Heights High School; she went on to earn a bachelor's | ||
| degree from Texas Christian University and a law degree from | ||
| Saint Mary's University; and | ||
| WHEREAS, | ||
| WHEREAS, Active in community affairs, she was a volunteer | ||
| at the Fort Worth Stock Show for more than 25 years and served on | ||
| the board of Casa Mañana Theatre; she was also a member of the | ||
| American Lung Association of Texas, the American Heart | ||
| Association, and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society; and | ||
| WHEREAS, A woman of courage, strength, and compassion, she | ||
| gave unselfishly to others, and her generous spirit and | ||
| enthusiasm for living each day to the fullest will not be | ||
| forgotten; and | ||
| WHEREAS, She was a devoted mother, daughter, and sister, | ||
| and she leaves behind memories that will be treasured forever by | ||
| her family and countless friends; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, | ||
| 83rd Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the | ||
| bereaved family of Tamara Farris Gordon; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for | ||
| her family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the | ||
| Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do | ||
| so in memory of Tamara Farris Gordon. | ||
