Paula Yuvern Dunn | ||
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the | ||
citizens of Houston in mourning the loss of Paula Yuvern Dunn, | ||
who died February 15, 2011; and | ||
WHEREAS, Paula Dunn was born on April 12, 1952; she | ||
graduated in 1970 from Evan E. Worthing High School, where she | ||
was selected Sweetheart of the Reserve Officer Training Corps; | ||
and | ||
WHEREAS, Paula and Stanley Jackson were high school | ||
sweethearts; they were later married and had two wonderful sons, | ||
Josman and Jyron; and | ||
WHEREAS, She was trained in the medical technology field as | ||
an X-ray technician and spent most of her career working at the | ||
Jefferson Davis Hospital, now known as LBJ Hospital; and | ||
WHEREAS, A beloved and cherished member of her community, | ||
Paula was known for her adventurous and outgoing personality, and | ||
she was admired for the courage with which she faced adversity in | ||
her life; and | ||
WHEREAS, She enriched the lives of all who knew her with | ||
her love, her passion for life, and her thoughtfulness; she will | ||
be deeply missed by her family and her many friends; now, | ||
therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd | ||
Legislature, hereby pay tribute to the life of Paula Dunn and | ||
extend sincere condolences to her bereaved family; and, be it | ||
further | ||
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for | ||
her family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas | ||
Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in | ||
memory of Paula Yuvern Dunn. | ||
