| WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to | ||
| recognize Ida Mae Brantley on the grand occasion of her 100th | ||
| birthday; and | ||
| WHEREAS, This exemplary lady is well known for her charm | ||
| and generosity, and she is a revered resident of the Sterling | ||
| House of Lancaster; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Ida Mae Brantley was born April 14, 1913, in | ||
| Longview; over the course of her marriages to Willie Walker and | ||
| Cleaster Brantley, Sr., she raised seven children, who have been | ||
| a source of much pride and joy for her, and she has been blessed | ||
| with grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Mrs. Brantley is a devout Christian who practices | ||
| her faith in her daily life, and she has been a longtime member of | ||
| First Full Gospel Pentecostal Church; and | ||
| WHEREAS, | ||
| RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, | ||
| 83rd Legislature, hereby commend Ida Mae Brantley on her many | ||
| achievements and extend to her best wishes on the occasion of her | ||
| 100th birthday; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for | ||
| her as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate. | ||
