| WHEREAS, When they married many years ago, Jan and Kay | ||
| Heining made a lifetime commitment to each other, and their | ||
| mutual trust has been amply rewarded, for they are celebrating | ||
| their 45th wedding anniversary on April 29, 2017; and | ||
| WHEREAS, They met when Kay was a teacher for the United | ||
| States Department of Defense and Jan was a United States Air | ||
| Force pilot assigned to the Royal Air Force Woodbridge | ||
| station; they were married on April 29, 1972, in Suffolk County, | ||
| England; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Heining were blessed with two | ||
| children, and during Mr. Heining's military career, the family | ||
| experienced life in five states and two foreign countries; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Mr. Heining served with distinction and retired | ||
| from the air force with the rank of colonel; after they retired, | ||
| Jan and Kay moved to San Antonio; they are respected members of | ||
| their community, and they enjoy traveling together and spending | ||
| time with their three grandchildren; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Heining are beloved by many, and the | ||
| loving relationship they share is an inspiration to all who know | ||
| them; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th | ||
| Legislature, hereby congratulate Jan and Kay Heining on their | ||
| 45th wedding anniversary and extend to them best wishes for the | ||
| future; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for them | ||
| as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate. | ||
