| WHEREAS, Nicole Hagerty of the Round Rock Independent | ||
| School District has been named the 2013 Region 13 Assistant | ||
| Principal of the Year by the Texas Association of Secondary | ||
| School Principals; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Each year, the association pays tribute to school | ||
| administrators throughout Texas who have demonstrated | ||
| exceptional performance and leadership; nominations for the | ||
| award are submitted by their peers, and candidates are reviewed | ||
| by the association's Principal Image Committee; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Ms. Hagerty has been an assistant principal at | ||
| Canyon Vista Middle School for eight years, and she has worked | ||
| for Round Rock ISD for the past 14; before joining Canyon Vista, | ||
| she taught math, world cultures, and science at Hopewell and | ||
| Cedar Valley Middle Schools; and | ||
| WHEREAS, This esteemed administrator earned her bachelor's | ||
| degree in interdisciplinary studies from Texas A&M University | ||
| and went on to graduate from The University of Texas at Austin | ||
| with a master's degree in educational administration; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Ms. Hagerty's dedication to her profession has | ||
| made a positive difference in the lives of countless young | ||
| Texans, and she is indeed deserving of this prestigious honor; | ||
| now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd | ||
| Legislature, hereby congratulate Nicole Hagerty on her selection | ||
| as the 2013 Region 13 Assistant Principal of the Year by the Texas | ||
| Association of Secondary School Principals and extend to her | ||
| sincere best wishes for continued success with her important | ||
| work; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be | ||
| prepared for Ms. Hagerty as an expression of high regard by the | ||
| Texas Senate. | ||
