	SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 62


	In Memory
	of
	Maria Guadalupe Cisneros Perez

	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and
	commemorates the life of Maria Guadalupe Cisneros Perez, who died
	on January 12, 2017, at the age of 69; and
	WHEREAS, Lupita Perez was born to Sara and Praxedis
	Cisneros and grew up in Brownsville; she graduated from
	Brownsville High School, and she attended Texas Southmost
	College; and
	WHEREAS, At the age of 30, she married her soul mate and the
	love of her life, Amalio Perez, and they enjoyed 39 years of
	marriage together; and
	WHEREAS, Over the course of her career she worked in sales
	and as a staff member at the National Bank of Commerce; she
	finished her professional career by serving as an employee of the
	Cameron County Adult Probation Office; and
	WHEREAS, A devout Christian who practiced her faith daily,
	she was a member of Saint Mary's Catholic Church and belonged to
	the Catholic Daughters of the Americas; she and Amalio were
	active in the Mr. and Mrs. Club, and she was noted for being a
	wonderful hostess and a talented cook and baker; and
	WHEREAS, A woman of courage, strength, and compassion, she
	gave generously to others, and her wisdom, her gracious
	hospitality, and her enthusiasm for living each day to the
	fullest will not be forgotten; and
	WHEREAS, She was devoted to her large and loving extended
	family, and she leaves behind memories that will be treasured
	forever by all who were privileged to share in her life; now,
	therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
	Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved
	family of Maria Guadalupe Cisneros Perez; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
	her family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
	Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
	memory of Maria Guadalupe Cisneros Perez.
