| WHEREAS, Jordan Crum of Girl Scout Troop No. 7495 in White | ||
| Oak has attained the Girl Scout Gold Award, and this | ||
| accomplishment truly merits recognition; and | ||
| WHEREAS, To earn this distinction, Ms. Crum successfully | ||
| met a series of requirements emphasizing community service, | ||
| personal and spiritual growth, positive values, and leadership | ||
| skills; she also completed a Gold Award project, which involved | ||
| organizing a health fair at White Oak High School that offered | ||
| interactive activities and informative resources to more than | ||
| 400 attendees; and | ||
| WHEREAS, By fostering self-confidence and by encouraging | ||
| young women to explore career opportunities and to become more | ||
| socially conscious, the Girl Scout program is helping its | ||
| participants to achieve their greatest potential as engaged | ||
| citizens and leaders; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The maturity and dedication that Ms. Crum has | ||
| demonstrated in pursuit of her goals truly exemplify the highest | ||
| ideals of the Girl Scouts, and she may indeed reflect with pride | ||
| on a job well done; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th | ||
| Legislature, hereby congratulate Jordan Crum on her receipt of | ||
| the Girl Scout Gold Award and extend to her sincere best wishes | ||
| for continued success and happiness; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be | ||
| prepared for Ms. Crum as an expression of high regard from the | ||
| Texas Senate. | ||
