| WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to | ||
| recognize Colonel Robert G. McVay, who is a participant in the | ||
| United States Army's Senior Service College Fellows Program; and | ||
| WHEREAS, A component of the United States Army War College, | ||
| the Senior Service College Fellows Program consists of a year of | ||
| intensive academic study for selected officers that focuses on | ||
| the relationships between national security policy and its | ||
| implementation, technology and industry, and military policy and | ||
| process; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Only the top three percent of United States Army | ||
| officers rise to the level required for selection to the Army War | ||
| College; those chosen as fellows for this prestigious course of | ||
| study embody the qualities necessary for program managers and | ||
| general officers in the United States Army; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Colonel McVay is truly deserving of recognition | ||
| for his dedication to duty and his many accomplishments; by being | ||
| chosen for this important program, he has demonstrated his | ||
| readiness to further prepare himself for senior military | ||
| leadership positions around the world; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd | ||
| Legislature, hereby commend Colonel Robert G. McVay on his | ||
| participation in the United States Army's Senior Service College | ||
| Fellows Program and extend to him best wishes for continued | ||
| success in all his future endeavors; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for | ||
| him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate. | ||
