SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 604
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize Gladys M. Ross on the grand occasion of her 75th
  birthday on April 18, 2017; and
 
         WHEREAS, A lifelong resident of Dallas, Gladys Ross was
  born on April 18, 1942; she has shared 57 years of marriage with
  Roy Ross, and she is devoted to her children and grandchildren,
  who are a source of immense pride and joy; and
 
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Ross is respected and admired throughout the
  community; she had a rewarding career as a cafeteria supervisor
  with the Dallas Independent School District that spanned more
  than 35 years; and
 
         WHEREAS, A woman of deep spiritual devotion, Mrs. Ross
  serves as senior mother of Evangelist Temple Church of God in
  Christ, and she has been a congregant there for more than 50
  years; and
 
         WHEREAS, In honor of Mrs. Ross's birthday, her church
  family, friends, and loved ones are gathering on April 15, 2017,
  to share in a celebration of this special milestone in her life;
  now, therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
  Legislature, hereby recognize Gladys M. Ross as a treasured
  citizen of Texas and congratulate her on her 75th birthday; and,
  be it further
 
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  her as a memento of this special day.
