SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 587
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Bett Butler, who has been selected for induction into
the San Antonio Women's Hall of Fame for her outstanding work in
the creative arts; and
WHEREAS, The San Antonio Women's Hall of Fame honors those
women who have contributed significantly to the San Antonio
community and the Bexar County region through their
accomplishments in their profession or field of service; and
WHEREAS, Bett Butler is a vocal performer and a pianist who
specializes in jazz and rhythm and blues renditions; and
WHEREAS, She is renowned locally and nationally as a vocal
powerhouse who shines with creative and artistic excellence; and
WHEREAS, Bett is highly respected for her dedication to her
work and for her outstanding talent and accomplishments in the
world of the creative arts, and her success serves as an
inspiration to women across our state; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd
Legislature, hereby commend Bett Butler for her exceptional
achievements and extend congratulations to her on her induction
into the San Antonio Women's Hall of Fame; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
