SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 545
WHEREAS, Members of Leadership Mainland are visiting the
State Capitol on April 9, 2019, providing a fitting opportunity
to recognize the program for its outstanding work in the
community; and
WHEREAS, Leadership Mainland was established in 1989 by
the Texas City-La Marque Chamber of Commerce as a means of
providing promising young leaders with an understanding of the
resources, strengths, and values of the region; and
WHEREAS, The graduates of this exceptional program have
had a positive impact on the growth and prosperity of the Texas
Gulf Coast, and the current class is sure to extend that record of
success; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 86th
Legislature, hereby commend the members of the 2019 class of
Leadership Mainland on their commitment to serving their
community and extend to them sincere best wishes for the future;
and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be
prepared for the group as an expression of high regard by the
Texas Senate.
