SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 501
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Pastor John C. Hagee on the occasion of his 75th
birthday; and
WHEREAS, John Hagee is the founder and senior pastor of San
Antonio's Cornerstone Church, a nondenominational evangelical
church with more than 20,000 members; he is also president of
John Hagee Ministries, which broadcasts his teachings around
the world; and
WHEREAS, Pastor Hagee holds bachelor's degrees from
Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie and
Trinity University in San Antonio, and he earned a master's
degree from the University of North Texas; and
WHEREAS, Pastor Hagee is the author of 38 major books, six
of which have appeared on the New York Times bestseller list;
John Hagee Ministries has given more than $85 million to support
humanitarian causes in Israel, and he is the national chairman
of Christians United for Israel; and
WHEREAS, He and his wife, Diana, have been blessed with
five children and 13 grandchildren, and he is celebrating his
75th birthday on April 12, 2015; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th
Legislature, hereby extend best wishes to Pastor John C. Hagee
on the grand occasion of his 75th birthday; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
him as a memento of this special day in his life.
