	SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 490
	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
	recognize Ray Young, who has been named the recipient of a Frist
	Humanitarian Award for his work at Saint David's Georgetown
	Hospital; and

	WHEREAS, This prestigious honor is named for Dr. Thomas F.
	Frist, founder of the Hospital Corporation of America, and it is
	the highest honor presented annually to volunteers, employees,
	and physicians of hospitals affiliated with the company; and

	WHEREAS, Ray Young has been a volunteer greeter at the
	hospital since 1999, when he began as one of the nine original
	greeters; over the course of his 18 years with the hospital, he
	has provided more than 5,200 hours of service; and

	WHEREAS, His ready smile and helpful attitude have set a
	cheerful and reassuring tone for people coming to the hospital,
	and it is truly fitting that he receive special recognition at
	this time; now, therefore, be it

	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
	Legislature, hereby commend Ray Young on his exceptional service to
	Saint David's Georgetown Hospital and extend congratulations to him
	on receiving a Frist Humanitarian Award; and, be it further

	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
	him as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
