SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 490
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize the Mexican American Experience 2011, a special event
taking place March 16 and 17, 2011, at the Emma S. Barrientos
Mexican American Cultural Center; and
WHEREAS, Presented by Crossroads Events, this celebration
is a collaborative effort supported by the Emma S. Barrientos
Mexican American Cultural Center, the City of Austin, and the
Austin Parks and Recreation Department, and the event is open to
the public at no charge; and
WHEREAS, The Mexican American Experience 2011 will promote
the culture, music, dance, and achievements of the Mexican
American community through cultural and educational
presentations and activities for the whole family; and
WHEREAS, The Mexican American Experience is a grand
opportunity for people of all ages and from all walks of life to
come together to celebrate the heritage and achievements of
Mexican American citizens and enjoy an exciting and enlightening
experience; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd
Legislature, hereby commend all those involved with the
presentation of the Mexican American Experience 2011 and extend
best wishes to all for a successful and enjoyable event; and, be
it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
the organizers of the event as an expression of esteem from the
Texas Senate.
