| WHEREAS, Akash Gupta of Troop 567 in Katy has recently been | ||
| honored by the Boy Scout program for attaining the rank of Eagle | ||
| Scout, a rank achieved by only five out of every 100 boys in the | ||
| program; and | ||
| WHEREAS, This fine young man displayed outstanding | ||
| leadership through the planning and execution of a service | ||
| project that has benefited his community; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Akash advanced through the ranks of Tenderfoot, | ||
| Second, First, Star, and Life classes before reaching the rank of | ||
| Eagle Scout by following the principles of the Scout oath and | ||
| promise; and | ||
| WHEREAS, By becoming an Eagle Scout, this personable young | ||
| man has brought great distinction to himself, his family, his | ||
| troop, his community, and his state; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Akash is an exceptional representative of the | ||
| State of Texas and a sterling example to all who have the good | ||
| fortune to know him; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd | ||
| Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commend Akash Gupta on | ||
| earning the rank of Eagle Scout and congratulate him on his great | ||
| achievement; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for | ||
| Eagle Scout Gupta as an expression of high regard from the Texas | ||
| Senate. | ||
