| WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to | ||
| recognize Fayette Electric Cooperative, Incorporated, which is | ||
| celebrating 80 years of service in 2017; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Established in 1937, Fayette Electric Cooperative | ||
| provides affordable and reliable electricity to more than 9,000 | ||
| member-owners; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The cooperative maintains 2,871 miles of electric | ||
| line and serves individual residences, farms, ranches, and | ||
| businesses in Austin, Bastrop, Colorado, Fayette, Lavaca, Lee, | ||
| and Washington Counties; and | ||
| WHEREAS, For eight decades, Fayette Electric Cooperative | ||
| has fulfilled its mission to provide dependable electric power to | ||
| its member-owners and has supported communities with beneficial | ||
| programs and outstanding service; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th | ||
| Legislature, hereby commend the members, administrators, and | ||
| staff of Fayette Electric Cooperative, Incorporated, on 80 years | ||
| of success and extend to them best wishes for the future; and, be | ||
| it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for | ||
| the cooperative as a memento of this special anniversary. | ||
