SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 489
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize Fayette Electric Cooperative, Incorporated, which is
  celebrating 80 years of service in 2017; and
 
         WHEREAS, Established in 1937, Fayette Electric Cooperative
  provides affordable and reliable electricity to more than 9,000
  member-owners; and
 
         WHEREAS, The cooperative maintains 2,871 miles of electric
  line and serves individual residences, farms, ranches, and
  businesses in Austin, Bastrop, Colorado, Fayette, Lavaca, Lee,
  and Washington Counties; and
 
         WHEREAS, For eight decades, Fayette Electric Cooperative
  has fulfilled its mission to provide dependable electric power to
  its member-owners and has supported communities with beneficial
  programs and outstanding service; now, therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
  Legislature, hereby commend the members, administrators, and
  staff of Fayette Electric Cooperative, Incorporated, on 80 years
  of success and extend to them best wishes for the future; and, be
  it further
 
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  the cooperative as a memento of this special anniversary.
