| Mark Anthony Shepard, Sr. | ||
| WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and | ||
| commemorates the life of Mark Anthony Shepard, Sr., who died | ||
| April 20, 2012, at the age of 49; and | ||
| WHEREAS, A longtime firefighter with the Rosehill | ||
| Volunteer Fire Department, Mark Shepard was a man of great | ||
| ability and courage; Mr. Shepard joined the department in 1987 | ||
| and was a respected and admired firefighter who put his life on | ||
| the line each day to protect the lives and property of his fellow | ||
| citizens; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The reliability and personal sacrifice of this | ||
| firefighter will continue to be an inspiration to others; he was | ||
| revered for his work and his commitment to serving the people of | ||
| his community; and | ||
| WHEREAS, A man of loyalty, integrity, and strength, he gave | ||
| unselfishly to others, and his dedication to duty and his | ||
| enthusiasm for living each day to the fullest will not be | ||
| forgotten by those who were privileged to share in his life; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Beloved by many, Mark Shepard leaves behind | ||
| memories that will be treasured forever by his family, his | ||
| friends, and his fellow firefighters; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd | ||
| Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved | ||
| family of Mark Anthony Shepard, Sr.; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for | ||
| his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas | ||
| Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in | ||
| memory of Mark Anthony Shepard, Sr. | ||
