SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 475
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize Glenda Culpepper, who has been named the recipient of
  the Whitesboro Chamber of Commerce 2011 Lifetime Achievement
  Award; and
         WHEREAS, Glenda Culpepper has served the Whitesboro
  Chamber of Commerce for more than a quarter century; she is a
  lifetime member and director emeritus of the chamber and has
  served multiple terms on its board of directors; and
         WHEREAS, Throughout her life, she has volunteered her
  services in support of others; she has hosted foreign exchange
  students and donated countless hours to school organizations
  and booster clubs; she has been a youth worker, camp counselor,
  and Vacation Bible School coordinator, and she has served as a
  volunteer at her church's nursery for 45 years; and
         WHEREAS, She was a charter member of her community's
  Texas Federation of Women's Clubs affiliate, which worked to
  raise scholarship funds for deserving local students; she
  served on the Whitesboro Library Board for more than 20 years,
  providing direction and guidance and volunteering at numerous
  book sales and other events; and
         WHEREAS, Glenda Culpepper is truly deserving of
  recognition for her many contributions to the community and her
  service to the Whitesboro Chamber of Commerce; now, therefore,
  be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd
  Legislature, hereby commend Glenda Culpepper on her legacy of
  service and commitment and extend congratulations to her on
  receiving the Whitesboro Chamber of Commerce 2011 Lifetime
  Achievement Award; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
