SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 474
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize Amber Anderson Mostyn, who is being honored at the 2017
  Annie's List Houston Luncheon; and
         WHEREAS, Amber Mostyn is a native of Fort Worth and a
  graduate of Trinity Valley School; she earned degrees in Spanish
  and anthropology from Vanderbilt University and worked for a time
  in Washington, D.C., before returning to Texas and earning a
  degree from The University of Texas School of Law; and
         WHEREAS, While attending law school, she excelled in trial
  advocacy and received numerous awards and honors, including
  induction into the prestigious Order of the Barristers; she
  currently practices law in the fields of personal injury and
  wrongful death, and she has also served as an adjunct professor
  at Texas Wesleyan Law School and the South Texas College of Law
  Houston; and
         WHEREAS, She has made extraordinary investments of her
  time and energy in support of the goals of Annie's List, and her
  successes in the field of electoral politics have served as an
  inspiration to countless organizers and candidates; she is also a
  proud supporter of educational foundations and programs that
  have a positive impact on our state; and
         WHEREAS, Amber Mostyn is a leading Houstonian with an
  influential role in the political arena in Texas, and it is truly
  fitting that she receive special recognition; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
  Legislature, hereby commend Amber Anderson Mostyn on her many
  achievements and extend to her best wishes for continued success
  in all her endeavors; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
