SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 472
In Memory
of
Quresha Zamir
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and
commemorates the life of Quresha Zamir, who died November 10,
2018, at the age of 79; and
WHEREAS, Quresha Zamir was an exemplary citizen who was
respected and admired in her Houston community for her many
achievements; and
WHEREAS, She and her beloved husband, the late Zamir Ahmed
Jilani, were blessed with six children, Dr. Asim Zamir, Atif
Zamir, Rubina Quidwai, Samina Asad, Rahila Tayyabi, and Anila
Zamir; her 11 grandchildren were a source of much pride and joy
for her; and
WHEREAS, A woman of courage, strength, and generosity, she
gave unselfishly to others, and her wisdom, warmth, and valued
counsel will not be forgotten by those who were privileged to
share in her life; and
WHEREAS, She was a loving and devoted wife, sister, mother,
and grandmother, and she leaves behind memories that will be
treasured forever by her family and many friends; now, therefore,
be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 86th
Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved
family of Quresha Zamir; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
her family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
memory of Quresha Zamir.
