| WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to | ||
| recognize Barbara A. Henderson, who retired January 31, 2013, | ||
| after 32 years of outstanding service with the United States | ||
| Postal Service; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Barbara began her postal career on April 19, 1980, | ||
| as a clerk in the Computerized Forwarding System department at | ||
| the main post office in Dallas; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Throughout her career, she was noted for her | ||
| superior customer service skills and expertise; she was a member | ||
| of the city's first Zip Plus Four crew and was part of a mail | ||
| processing operations team that achieved a first place national | ||
| ranking for meeting and exceeding high production standards; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Talented and resourceful, she handled her many | ||
| responsibilities with exceptional efficiency and dedication; in | ||
| addition to her regular duties, she served as secretary to the | ||
| department head in finance, and she earned awards, certificates, | ||
| and recognition for her excellent service and her attendance; and | ||
| WHEREAS, An exemplary employee, she earned the respect and | ||
| admiration of her colleagues, and her presence at the United | ||
| States Postal Service will be greatly missed; now, therefore, be | ||
| it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, | ||
| 83rd Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby commend Barbara A. | ||
| Henderson on her exceptional service as an employee of the United | ||
| States Postal Service and extend to her best wishes for continued | ||
| success in all her endeavors; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for | ||
| her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate. | ||
