	SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 463
	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
	recognize the First Annual BBQ Cook-Off at the Toyota Texas Bass
	Classic, which is taking place October 28 through 30, 2011, in
	Conroe; and
	WHEREAS, The Toyota Texas Bass Classic will feature 50 of
	the world's top professional bass anglers competing to win the
	world championship of professional bass fishing; proceeds from
	the event go to support various youth and outdoor programs of the
	Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, including the Wildlife
	Forever Fish Art Contest, Neighborhood Fishin', Take Me Fishing,
	and Houston Urban Outreach Programs; in its four years of
	existence, the competition has donated $1 million to promote
	these outstanding initiatives; and
	WHEREAS, This year's addition of a barbecue cook-off to the
	lineup provides an opportunity for the state's many outstanding
	barbecue chefs to offer the fare for which they are justly
	famous; held under the auspices of the Texas Gulf Coast BBQ
	Cookers Association, the cook-off presents a chance for Texans to
	combine their love of fishing and barbecue at a single venue;
	now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd
	Legislature, hereby commend the Toyota Texas Bass Classic on its
	exemplary support of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and
	extend to its sponsors and participants best wishes for a
	successful Bass Classic and inaugural BBQ Cook-Off event; and, be
	it further
	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared in
	honor of this special event.
