| WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to | ||
| recognize Chief Warrant Officer Dale Luke Smiley, who is retiring | ||
| from the United States Navy after more than 23 years of | ||
| distinguished service; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The men and women of America's armed forces work | ||
| daily to ensure the peace and prosperity of the nation, and Chief | ||
| Warrant Officer Smiley has carried out his duties with the utmost | ||
| care and courage; and | ||
| WHEREAS, This native Texas son has served with the Naval | ||
| Special Warfare Group 10, and he is being honored with a | ||
| retirement ceremony on May 29, 2015; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Through his unwavering commitment to duty, Chief | ||
| Warrant Officer Smiley has embodied the highest ideals of the | ||
| armed services, and his patriotism has been inspirational to | ||
| others; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th | ||
| Legislature, hereby commend Chief Warrant Officer Dale Luke | ||
| Smiley for his years of outstanding service to the nation and | ||
| extend to him best wishes for the future; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for | ||
| him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate. | ||
