	SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 441
	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
	recognize the members and alumni of Leadership Grapevine on the
	occasion of their March 29, 2017, visit to the Capitol; and

	WHEREAS, The members of this exemplary group contribute
	greatly to the betterment of their community through their
	outstanding civic engagement; Leadership Grapevine is a
	nine-month program sponsored by the City of Grapevine and the
	local chamber of commerce; the program offers opportunities for
	participants to increase their knowledge of important local,
	regional, and state issues and to meet with leaders who are
	making policy decisions that affect their communities; and

	WHEREAS, Designed to inspire a spirit of activism, the
	program provides its diverse membership with training in
	leadership, opportunities for networking, and insight from
	knowledgeable people in both the public and private sectors;
	topics covered include municipal government, the school
	district, economic development, and historical preservation; and

	WHEREAS, Through its efforts to develop a new generation of
	leaders and to build a more informed and involved citizenry,
	Leadership Grapevine is playing an important role in creating a
	brighter and more promising future for our state; now, therefore,
	be it

	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
	Legislature, hereby commend the members and alumni of Leadership
	Grapevine for their civic leadership and volunteerism and extend
	to them best wishes for a memorable visit to the Capitol; and, be
	it further

	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
	all associated with Leadership Grapevine as an expression of
	esteem from the Texas Senate.
