| WHEREAS, When they married many years ago, Roy Dale and | ||
| MaryBeth Messer placed great faith and trust in one another, and | ||
| they have been amply rewarded, as they are celebrating their 25th | ||
| wedding anniversary; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Roy Dale Messer and MaryBeth Gottschlich were | ||
| married 25 years ago in Canyon, at the home of the president of | ||
| West Texas State University; the bride wore a special gown made | ||
| by her grandmother and mother; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The world has changed considerably during the | ||
| years of their marriage, yet Mr. and Mrs. Messer have continued | ||
| to cherish traditional family values; over the years, they have | ||
| grown stronger in their love and devotion to one another as | ||
| together they have experienced the joys and sorrows of everyday | ||
| living; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Messer have been blessed with a | ||
| wonderful family; their children, John Wayne, James Robert, Roy | ||
| Henry, Victoria Rose, and Clinton Wright, along with their | ||
| WHEREAS, The long and happy union of Mr. and Mrs. Messer is | ||
| truly an inspiration to us all; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd | ||
| Legislature, hereby extend sincere congratulations to Roy Dale | ||
