SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 439
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize William Alloway on the occasion of his 102nd birthday;
and
WHEREAS, This distinguished gentleman is well known for
his wisdom and generosity of spirit, and he is a respected and
admired resident of New Braunfels; and
WHEREAS,
WHEREAS, He worked for a time as a carpenter before
embarking on a long and successful career in shoe sales; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Alloway has witnessed many historic events
during his lifetime, and he is now celebrating his 102nd year of
life, an occasion for much rejoicing among his family and
friends; and
WHEREAS,
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd
Legislature, hereby commend William Alloway on his many
achievements and extend to him best wishes for an enjoyable 102nd
birthday; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
him as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
