SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 433
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Pam Bennett Young, who is retiring as the artistic
director of the Brenham Children's Chorus after 15 years of
outstanding leadership and service to the Brenham community; and
WHEREAS, Pam Young founded the Brenham Children's Chorus in
2002; since that time, the nonprofit, community-based program
has brought a wealth of opportunities to countless children who
have the desire to learn more about music and to share their
talents with audiences across the nation; and
WHEREAS, Pam has taught music at public schools for more
than 30 years, and she currently teaches music at Kruse
Elementary School; she is a trained vocalist who has performed in
several musicals at Brenham's Unity Theatre; and
WHEREAS, A beloved member of the community, Pam has created
a music arts program that will continue to captivate audiences
long into the future, and her presence as artistic director of
the chorus will be greatly missed; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
Legislature, hereby commend Pam Bennett Young for her
exceptional leadership as director of the Brenham Children's
Chorus and extend to her best wishes in all her future endeavors;
and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
