| WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to | ||
| recognize the Centerville High School Lady Tigers basketball | ||
| team for its outstanding season; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The Lady Tigers made their first trip to the Class | ||
| 2A state basketball tournament after winning the Region III | ||
| championship in several close games | ||
| WHEREAS, These young athletes demonstrated great talent | ||
| and perseverance over the course of the year and finished the | ||
| season with a record of 30-7; team members can take great pride in | ||
| their exemplary performance; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Under the superior leadership and expertise of | ||
| head coach James Crafton, the Lady Tigers have developed | ||
| exceptional teamwork and discipline; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Centerville High School and the people of | ||
| Centerville are proud of the Lady Tigers for their hard work, | ||
| their impressive skills, and their fine sportsmanship; now, | ||
| therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, | ||
| 83rd Legislature, | ||
| RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for | ||
| the team as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate. | ||
