| Adolph Weldon Bannert Jr. | ||
| WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and | ||
| commemorates the life of Adolph Weldon Bannert Jr., who died | ||
| April 26, 2021, at the age of 86; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Adolph Bannert was born in Gatesville on April 18, | ||
| 1935; he grew up in Brownsville and Los Fresnos, and he graduated | ||
| from Los Fresnos High School; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Mr. Bannert settled in Los Fresnos in 1965; he | ||
| shared a loving home with his late wife, Mary Lou Keillor | ||
| Bannert, and together they owned and operated Adolph's Bannert | ||
| Automotive for 35 years; he was blessed to find love again, and he | ||
| later married Dolores Alvarado; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Adolph cherished his church community and was | ||
| guided in all things by his spiritual faith; he found great | ||
| reward and fulfillment in his work, and after his retirement, he | ||
| continued to enjoy his lifelong passion for automobiles by | ||
| helping his friends and family members with automotive care; he | ||
| gave generously of his time and talents to others, and he found | ||
| joy in giving back to his beloved South Texas community; and | ||
| WHEREAS, A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, | ||
| Adolph Bannert was a respected and cherished member of the Los | ||
| Fresnos community, and he leaves behind memories that will long | ||
| be treasured by all who were privileged to share in his life; now, | ||
| therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 87th | ||
| Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved | ||
| family of Adolph Weldon Bannert Jr.; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for | ||
| his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas | ||
| Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in | ||
| memory of Adolph Bannert. | ||
