SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 413
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize the Lewisville Independent School District Education
Foundation on the occasion of the organization's 25th
anniversary; and
WHEREAS, The Lewisville Independent School District
Education Foundation was established as a nonprofit organization
in 1990 to enrich the quality of public education in the thirteen
communities served by the district; and
WHEREAS, Since its inception, the foundation has supported
excellence in education by establishing and distributing
supplemental funds in designated program areas; it supports the
district's priority projects for which tax dollars are not
available; and
WHEREAS, The Lewisville Independent School District
Education Foundation has provided teachers with the tools they
need to foster success in the classroom and has broadened
opportunities for student learning; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th
Legislature, hereby commend the founders of the Lewisville
Independent School District Education Foundation and its board
of trustees for promoting quality education in the school
district and extend best wishes to all associated with the
foundation for continued success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
the foundation as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
