SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 412
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to join
the Camp Fire councils in Texas and Texans across the state in
celebrating March 16, 2017, as Absolutely Incredible Kid Day; and
WHEREAS, Camp Fire's Absolutely Incredible Kid Day is an
annual tribute to the young people across the country who have a
positive impact on their communities; and
WHEREAS, The contributions of these exemplary young
people are celebrated at live Camp Fire Council events and
through a letter-writing initiative in which adults are asked to
write letters of encouragement and inspiration to the young
people in their lives; social media platforms like Facebook,
Twitter, and YouTube are also used to express appreciation for
young people; and
WHEREAS, America's young people make countless contributions
to the well-being of our communities, and it is truly fitting that
a day be set aside to recognize their value, their achievements,
and the important role they play in shaping our future; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
Legislature, hereby commend the Camp Fire councils in Texas on
their commitment to helping young people become productive
members of society and extend to young people everywhere
best wishes for a memorable Absolutely Incredible Kid Day; and,
be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared in honor
of this special day.
