| WHEREAS, When they married many years ago, Gabriela and | ||
| Guillermo Hoyos placed great faith and trust in one another, and | ||
| they have been amply rewarded, as they recently celebrated their | ||
| 25th wedding anniversary; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Gabriela and Guillermo were married on September | ||
| 1, 1989, in Puebla, Mexico, after a five-year courtship; the | ||
| world has changed considerably during the years of their marriage, | ||
| yet they have continued to cherish traditional values; and | ||
| WHEREAS, They have been blessed with a loving and devoted | ||
| daughter, Karla, who has brought them much pride and joy; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The family moved to San Antonio in 1994 to pursue | ||
| business opportunities; Guillermo, known for his passion for the | ||
| culture and artistic values of his native Mexico, was asked to | ||
| take up the challenge of working on the Museo Alameda; throughout | ||
| his career, he has been fortunate to have Gabriela at his side as | ||
| a source of invaluable support and encouragement; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Through the years, Gabriela and Guillermo have | ||
| grown stronger in their love and devotion to one another, as | ||
| together they have experienced the joys and sorrows of everyday | ||
| living; the long and happy union of Mr. and Mrs. Hoyos is truly an | ||
| inspiration to all; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th | ||
| Legislature, hereby extend best wishes to Gabriela and Guillermo | ||
| Hoyos on their 25th wedding anniversary; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for | ||
| this distinguished couple as an expression of esteem from the | ||
| Texas Senate. | ||
