SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 4
 
 
  In Memory
  of
  Martha Jean Fleming Pinnelli
 
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and
  commemorates the life of Martha Jean Fleming Pinnelli, who died
  December 28, 2014, at the age of 92; and
         WHEREAS, Jean Fleming was born on December 13, 1922, in
  Florence, Arizona; she moved with her family to Austin in 1928,
  and she graduated from Austin High School before attending Texas
  Woman's University; and
         WHEREAS, She served the nation with distinction during
  World War II as a member of the United States Navy; while
  stationed at the Shoemaker Naval Hospital near San Francisco, she
  met her future husband, Albert Pinnelli, and they married
  immediately after the war; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Pinnelli moved to Elgin, Texas, where
  Mr. Pinnelli joined the staff at Fleming Hospital, and in 1951,
  they moved to Stephenville; Mrs. Pinnelli devoted herself to
  raising their sons, Al and Joe, and she instilled in them the
  values of honor, ethics, and commitment to others; she was a
  tireless supporter of the arts; and
         WHEREAS, A woman of courage, strength, and integrity, she
  gave selflessly to others, and she was noted for her modesty, her
  elegant simplicity, and her enthusiasm for living each day to the
  fullest; and
         WHEREAS, She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother,
  and she leaves behind memories that will be treasured forever by
  her family and many friends; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th
  Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved
  family of Martha Jean Fleming Pinnelli; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  her family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
  Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
  memory of Martha Jean Fleming Pinnelli.
