	SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 398
	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
	welcome the members of Leadership Southlake as they visit the
	Capitol and recognize them for their civic engagement and their
	many contributions toward the betterment of the Southlake
	community; and

	WHEREAS, Leadership Southlake is an eight-month program of
	classes and community involvement that is designed to identify
	emerging leaders and help them increase their understanding of
	such vital issues as local government, health care, and the
	impact of technology; and

	WHEREAS, Sponsored by the Southlake Chamber of Commerce
	and the City of Southlake, the program offers participants the
	opportunity to meet other community leaders and to involve their
	businesses in issues that affect the quality of life of the
	community; and

	WHEREAS, Leadership Southlake plays an important role in
	ensuring the ongoing prosperity of the Southlake area by offering
	its members the opportunity to gain a greater knowledge of the
	region, develop their leadership skills, and join a network of
	other community leaders; now, therefore, be it

	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd
	Legislature, hereby commend the members of Leadership Southlake
	on their commitment to improving their community and extend to
	them best wishes for success in all their future endeavors; and,
	be it further

	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
	them as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
