SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 371
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Curt Fludd for his outstanding service on the board of
Celebrate Texas; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Fludd works as marketing director for The
University of Texas at Austin Athletic Department, and he has
served for many years on the board of Celebrate Texas, which
encourages and promotes education about Texas Independence Day;
and
WHEREAS, His work for Celebrate Texas has included
creating and spearheading an annual golf tournament, which has
been a great success in raising funds for this worthy cause; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Fludd is actively involved in the lives of the
athletes he serves; he is on the Academic Council for Athletes
and has organized a symposium for young people and adults about
improving self-esteem; he also participates in community
affairs, supporting the Mount Sinai Christian Academy and the
American Heart Association; and
WHEREAS, Curt Fludd is respected and admired by his
colleagues, and he is truly deserving of recognition for his
efforts in support of Celebrate Texas; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd
Legislature, hereby commend Curt Fludd on his exemplary work with
Celebrate Texas and extend to him best wishes for continued
success in all his future endeavors; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
