SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 35
         WHEREAS, Sydney Lee participated in the National Rural
  Electric Cooperative Association Government-in-Action Youth
  Tour during the summer of 2023; and
 
         WHEREAS, Selected as a Youth Tour delegate by the
  Pedernales Electric Cooperative, Ms. Lee joined some 1,500
  students from around the country for an all-expenses-paid trip to
  Washington, D.C.; in the course of the program, she learned about
  U.S. history and government, met with local political
  representatives, and toured various historic sites, such as
  Capitol Hill, the U.S. Supreme Court, and Arlington National
  Cemetery; and
 
         WHEREAS, A student at Texas A&M University, Ms. Lee is
  currently pursuing an economics degree; and
 
         WHEREAS, Sydney Lee has distinguished herself as a young
  leader of great promise, and she may indeed take justifiable
  pride in participating in this exciting experience; now,
  therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th
  Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Sydney Lee
  on taking part in the 2023 National Rural Electric Cooperative
  Association Government-in-Action Youth Tour and extend to her
  sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
 
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Lee as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas Senate.
