| WHEREAS, A caring and purposeful life drew to a close with | ||
| the passing of Betty Sue McCaslin Rinehart of Tyler on November | ||
| 19, 2021, at the age of 79; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The daughter of Lee Earl McCaslin and Juanita | ||
| Pruett McCaslin, Betty Rinehart was born in Tyler on February 6, | ||
| 1942; she attended Robert E. Lee High School and continued her | ||
| education at Tyler Junior College and The University of Texas at | ||
| Tyler; over the course of her career, she served as a legal | ||
| secretary for U.S. District Judge William Steger; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Mrs. Rinehart enjoyed a rewarding marriage with her | ||
| husband, Charles Rinehart, that spanned 58 years; a woman of faith, | ||
| she was a valued congregant of Grace Community Church in Tyler; in | ||
| her leisure time, she enjoyed playing golf; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Those who were privileged to share in this | ||
| esteemed woman's love and friendship will always remember her | ||
| with great admiration and affection; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th | ||
| Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the life of | ||
| Betty Sue McCaslin Rinehart and extend sincere condolences to the | ||
| members of her family: to her husband, Charles Rinehart; to her | ||
| sister, Clara Nell Miller; to her brothers, Gilbert Lee McCaslin | ||
| and Billy Travis McCaslin; to her nieces and nephews; and to her | ||
| other relatives and friends; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be | ||
| prepared for her family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns | ||
| this day, it do so in memory of Betty Rinehart. | ||
