Betty Rinehart | ||
WHEREAS, A caring and purposeful life drew to a close with | ||
the passing of Betty Sue McCaslin Rinehart of Tyler on November | ||
19, 2021, at the age of 79; and | ||
WHEREAS, The daughter of Lee Earl McCaslin and Juanita | ||
Pruett McCaslin, Betty Rinehart was born in Tyler on February 6, | ||
1942; she attended Robert E. Lee High School and continued her | ||
education at Tyler Junior College and The University of Texas at | ||
Tyler; over the course of her career, she served as a legal | ||
secretary for U.S. District Judge William Steger; and | ||
WHEREAS, Mrs. Rinehart enjoyed a rewarding marriage with her | ||
husband, Charles Rinehart, that spanned 58 years; a woman of faith, | ||
she was a valued congregant of Grace Community Church in Tyler; in | ||
her leisure time, she enjoyed playing golf; and | ||
WHEREAS, Those who were privileged to share in this | ||
esteemed woman's love and friendship will always remember her | ||
with great admiration and affection; now, therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th | ||
Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the life of | ||
Betty Sue McCaslin Rinehart and extend sincere condolences to the | ||
members of her family: to her husband, Charles Rinehart; to her | ||
sister, Clara Nell Miller; to her brothers, Gilbert Lee McCaslin | ||
and Billy Travis McCaslin; to her nieces and nephews; and to her | ||
other relatives and friends; and, be it further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be | ||
prepared for her family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns | ||
this day, it do so in memory of Betty Rinehart. | ||
