| WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to | ||
| recognize Nick Schreiber, who has been named the Texas Big | ||
| Brother of the Year; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Nick Schreiber is a mentor with Big Brothers Big | ||
| Sisters of Wichita Falls; he was chosen for this prestigious | ||
| honor from among 5,500 mentors across the state; and | ||
| WHEREAS, For more than two years, Mr. Schreiber and his | ||
| "little brother," Gavin Thompson, have shared a wide range of | ||
| experiences together; they have attended movies, taken museum | ||
| trips, and made visits to the Schreiber Brothers Dairy in | ||
| Windthorst; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Mr. Schreiber also serves as chairman of the | ||
| board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Wichita Falls; in addition, | ||
| he is dedicated to his career as director of marketing for SLA | ||
| Architects; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Nick Schreiber is having a positive impact on | ||
| young people in Texas through his work with Big Brothers Big | ||
| Sisters, and it is truly fitting that he receive special | ||
| recognition for his outstanding leadership; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th | ||
| Legislature, hereby commend Nick Schreiber on his commitment to | ||
| serving others and extend congratulations to him on being named | ||
| the Texas Big Brother of the Year; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for | ||
| him as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate. | ||
