| WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to | ||
| recognize the Texas Alliance of Boys and Girls Clubs on the occasion | ||
| of their Texas State Summit and Youth of the Year event, which is | ||
| taking place March 16 through 18, 2025; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The Texas Alliance of Boys and Girls Clubs | ||
| represents 415 club locations across the state that provide safe and | ||
| enriching environments for thousands of young people; the | ||
| organization's mission is to enable its participants to reach their | ||
| full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The Texas State Summit brings together young | ||
| leaders, mentors, and advocates from across Texas to celebrate the | ||
| achievements of outstanding club members, to engage in leadership | ||
| development opportunities, and to highlight the vital role that Boys | ||
| and Girls Clubs play in empowering young people; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The Youth of the Year program recognizes club | ||
| members who have demonstrated exceptional character, academic | ||
| success, and leadership within their communities; this noteworthy | ||
| honor provides a platform for young people to share their stories | ||
| with others and to inspire their peers to pursue their goals with | ||
| confidence and determination; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The Texas Alliance of Boys and Girls Clubs | ||
| continues to make a profound impact in the Lone Star State by | ||
| promoting academic success, healthy lifestyles, and good | ||
| citizenship among Texas youth; its unwavering commitment to the | ||
| success and well-being of our young citizens helps to ensure a | ||
| brighter future for all Texans, and it is indeed fitting that this | ||
| exemplary organization receive special recognition; now, | ||
| therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th | ||
| Legislature, hereby recognize the Texas Alliance of Boys and | ||
| Girls Clubs on the occasion of its Texas State Summit and Youth of | ||
| the Year event and extend to all in attendance best wishes for a | ||
| memorable and rewarding occasion; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for | ||
| the organization as an expression of esteem from the Texas | ||
| Senate. | ||
