| WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to pay | ||
| tribute to the Texas Heroes Foundation on the occasion of the | ||
| organization's Texas Independence Day Celebration on March 2, | ||
| 2013; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The Texas Heroes Foundation was established with | ||
| the goal of educating people of all ages, particularly children, | ||
| about Texas history; through disseminating information about the | ||
| state's history, the members of the foundation strive to imbue in | ||
| others a greater love and appreciation of Texas; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The foundation has reached out to area students in | ||
| public and private schools in Granbury and throughout Hood County | ||
| and has invited them to contribute to the foundation's Texas | ||
| Independence Day Celebration; and | ||
| WHEREAS, | ||
| RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd | ||
| Legislature, hereby commend the members of the Texas Heroes | ||
| Foundation on their exceptional endeavors to keep Texas history | ||
| alive and pay tribute to the heroes of the Texas Revolution and | ||
| extend best wishes to them and all participating students for a | ||
| rewarding Texas Independence Day Celebration; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for | ||
| the foundation as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate. | ||
