SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 28
 
 
  In Memory
  of
  Garrett Paul Haidusek
 
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the
  citizens of Devers in mourning the tragic loss of Garrett Paul
  Haidusek, who died May 25, 2013, at the age of 16; and
         WHEREAS, Garrett Haidusek was born November 15, 1996, in
  Beaumont, Texas, to Dana LeDoux and Paul G. Haidusek; and
         WHEREAS, From the time he was a youngster, Garrett was an
  adventurer who was noted for his high-spirited nature and his
  zest for life; he also was known for his love of the outdoors and
  of all types of outdoor activities, including hunting,
  snowboarding, and wakeboarding; and
         WHEREAS, Garrett's goal was to become a farmer; as a child,
  he played with John Deere toys, and even while very young, he
  enjoyed working on the farm with his father, grandfather, and
  great-uncles; as he reached his teenage years, he continued to be
  a tremendous help to his family and enjoyed driving the tractor,
  hauling hay, feeding the cows, and participating in all the farm
  chores; and
         WHEREAS, Garrett was a sophomore at Hull-Daisetta High
  School, where he especially liked his classes in agricultural
  mechanics; he was a proud member of Future Farmers of America and
  was recently honored with its Star Chapter Farmer Award; he was a
  popular and successful student who was noted for his engaging
  personality and for his full-speed-ahead attitude when in
  pursuit of his many interests; and
         WHEREAS, Throughout his life, he was known for his generous
  and loving nature and his sincere willingness to help others;
  Garrett took on tasks with a smile, and wherever he was and
  whatever the situation, his sense of humor and enthusiasm always
  brightened the day for others; and
         WHEREAS, Garrett Haidusek was dearly beloved by his family
  and countless friends, and he leaves behind memories that will be
  treasured forever by all who were privileged to share in his
  life; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
  83rd Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby extend sincere
  condolences to the bereaved family of Garrett Paul Haidusek; and,
  be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the
  Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do
  so in memory of Garrett Haidusek.
