| WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to | ||
| recognize Dr. Charles Smith, who is retiring from the Behavioral | ||
| Health Center of Nueces County after more than 25 years of | ||
| exceptional service with the organization; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Charles Smith grew up in New York City and earned | ||
| a bachelor's degree in psychology from Queens College, a master's | ||
| degree in psychology from Rutgers University, and a doctoral | ||
| degree in psychology from the California School of Professional | ||
| Psychology; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Dr. Smith's career with the behavioral health | ||
| center began in 1991; over the years, he has worked as a unit | ||
| supervisor, an intake worker, and a utilization manager, and he | ||
| is retiring from his position as the clinical supervisor; and | ||
| WHEREAS, An exemplary medical professional, Dr. Smith has | ||
| worked diligently to provide relief to patients who are suffering | ||
| and to help them achieve their goals for personal growth and | ||
| happiness; he is respected and admired by his colleagues, and his | ||
| presence at the health center will be greatly missed; now, | ||
| therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th | ||
| Legislature, hereby commend Dr. Charles Smith for his exemplary | ||
| career at the Behavioral Health Center of Nueces County and for | ||
| his outstanding work on behalf of vulnerable citizens and extend | ||
| to him best wishes in all his future endeavors; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for | ||
| him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate. | ||
