| WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to | ||
| recognize the Tarrant County College District's Trinity River | ||
| Campus East, which has been named one of the best buildings to see | ||
| in Texas; and | ||
| WHEREAS, | ||
| WHEREAS, The building was constructed on the Trinity River | ||
| bluff in downtown Fort Worth and was designed by Bing Thom | ||
| Architects with Bennett Benner Petit in Fort Worth; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Good architecture has a profound influence on the | ||
| way we live our lives and on our perceptions of the world around | ||
| us; it offers invaluable insights on the attitudes of society | ||
| toward public and private spaces, and this groundbreaking | ||
| building represents the best that today's architecture has to | ||
| offer; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd | ||
| Legislature, hereby join the people of Fort Worth in celebrating | ||
| the naming of the Tarrant County College District's Trinity River | ||
| Campus East as one of the best buildings to see in Texas; and, be | ||
| it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for | ||
| the campus as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate. | ||
