SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 265
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize the Cotulla High School Mariachi Cotuleno band, which
  won the 3A Division I state mariachi championship title on
  February 7, 2015; and
 
         WHEREAS, The mariachi group brings together the exemplary
  talents of 19 young musicians who are dedicated to the historic
  tradition of mariachi; their first-place finish marks a second
  consecutive win for the team; and
 
         WHEREAS, These dedicated students have demonstrated great
  skill and perseverance throughout the school year, and they can
  take great pride in their outstanding performance; and
 
         WHEREAS, Under the exceptional leadership and expertise of
  band director Francisco Ramirez, members of Mariachi Cotuleno
  have developed exceptional teamwork and discipline; and
 
         WHEREAS, The Cotulla High School mariachi band is a source
  of pride for the fellow students, the faculty, and the Cotulla
  community, and its members are truly deserving of recognition for
  their outstanding achievement; now, therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th
  Legislature, hereby congratulate the members of Mariachi
  Cotuleno and extend to them best wishes for continued success;
  and, be it further
 
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  the team as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
