SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 263
WHEREAS, The Capital of Texas Undergraduate Research
Conference (CTURC) is taking place at The University of Texas at
Austin on March 4, 2023; and
WHEREAS, Organized by the UT Senate of College Councils'
Undergraduate Research Committee and the Texas Undergraduate
Research Journal, CTURC presents an opportunity for
undergraduate student researchers from across the state of Texas
to share their original research projects on a wide variety of
topics ranging from science and medicine to sociology; and
WHEREAS, The mission of the conference is to provide a
collaborative and interdisciplinary environment that promotes
and emphasizes the importance of undergraduate research; the men
and women attending the event represent a wide range of majors
and institutions of higher learning; and
WHEREAS, The Capital of Texas Undergraduate Research
Conference brings together some of the brightest young minds in
their fields of expertise, and the contributions they are making
are helping our state and nation to remain at the forefront of
research, scholarship, and innovation; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th
Legislature, hereby commemorate the 2023 Capital of Texas
Undergraduate Research Conference and commend the UT Senate of
College Councils' Undergraduate Research Committee and the
Texas Undergraduate Research Journal for their work in
organizing the event.
