SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 252
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize North Texas Medical Center, which was recently
designated a Level 1 Maternal Facility by the Texas Department of
State Health Services; and
WHEREAS, This designation officially recognizes the
high-quality care capabilities of medical facilities that meet
or exceed the state's standards for providers of maternal care;
the designation is valid for three years and reflects the
institution's outstanding dedication to improving, expediting,
and standardizing the care of its maternal patients; and
WHEREAS, North Texas Medical Center is an acute-care
hospital located in Gainesville, Texas; the 125,000-square-foot
facility houses 42 medical and surgical beds and includes a
six-bed intensive care unit, a 12-bed women's center, and a
15-bed outpatient surgery center; and
WHEREAS, Since the hospital's establishment, the staff of
medical professionals and administrators at North Texas Medical
Center have worked tirelessly to provide skilled and
compassionate care for patients; the center's designation as a
Level 1 Maternal Facility is a testament to the hospital's
ongoing commitment to excellence; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 87th
Legislature, hereby congratulate all associated with North Texas
Medical Center on the hospital's designation as a Level 1
Maternal Facility and extend to all sincere best wishes for
continued success with their important work; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
the center as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
